Scanning Electronic Microscopy

Description | Contact

CICY has a JEOL JSM6369LV scanning electron microscope that counts, sizes, fingerprints and maps samples to solve materials science and biological applications problems. In addition from standard SEM imaging, as used for imaging of metals, ceramics, polymers etc., this equipment can be used at low vacuum mode for imaging of biological samples. The equipment counts with a backscattered electron detector, a secondary electron detector, energy dispersive X-ray dispersion, cool stage, image analysis techniques, bacterial identification and particle sizing. Services can be offered to the public upon request.
